It is a unique property, in that it still possesses the characteristics of a farm or estate, as they once existed in Madeira, but also because of the strong family connection behind the running of this distinctive place.

Mum and I have had a lovely stay. Thank you for making us feel So welcome and for making our stay so comfortable. We especially enjoyed eating our breakfast in the garden as this is a real treat coming from England/Scotland during winter.

Quinta Santa Luzia

Acquired by John Blandy in 1826, the first Blandy to visit Madeira, and the person to have established the now well-known Madeira wine business, this rural oasis near the centre of Funchal comprises of gardens rich with flora and centenary old trees collected from all over the world, as well as a vineyard, whose produce is used for Blandy´s Madeira wine.

Guests have an opportunity to experience the history behind this rich Quinta lifestyle as well as enjoy the spaciousness and quietude located just minutes away from the centre of Funchal in two different accommodation types: Spacious self catering villa and high end bed and breakfast.
